Part 14 - Miriam's Point of View
Then, we arrived to Professor Dumbledore’s office. It was really big and had many interesting objects in it… I noticed that he had many bookcases too… Oh, I wish I could read all of those books…
Professor Dumbledore: Thank you, Minerva. Could you leave us now?
Professor McGonagall: Of course, Albus…
And she left. Then, Professor Dumbledore asked us to come in. He didn’t seem angry… He was really calm.
Professor Dumbledore: Good evening! Take a sit, please…
Me: Thank you, sir.
Professor Dumbledore: So, do you have idea why you’re here?
Me: Yes… we got lost in the Forbidden Forest…
Professor Dumbledore: That’s right… You must know that the students can’t enter there… it’s too dangerous…
Ron: We know that, sir… It was an accident…
Professor Dumbledore: I know… You wouldn’t want to hurt Miss Evelyn… Am I right, Mr. Weasley? *Dumbledore smiled*
Ron didn’t answer, but he blushed. This situation was strange…
Professor Dumbledore: However… this is not what I wanted to talk to you…
Me: I’m sorry, Professor… but why was Professor McGonagall so angry?
Professor Dumbledore: Because… what happened in the forest?
Me: We tried to find a way back, but we couldn’t. So, we spent the night inside a cave and, the next morning…
Professor Dumbledore: Yes, what happened?
Me: We met my cousin, my aunt and the world of the fairies…
Professor Dumbledore: See? That’s why me and Professor McGonagall were worried…
Me: But why?
Professor Dumbledore: Because your parents told us that you shouldn’t meet them! You must stay away from that forest.
Me: Why? They are my family too…
Professor Dumbledore: But they’ll try to make you a princess…
Me: I know… that’s wonderful!
Professor Dumbledore: No, it isn’t! Do you know why do they want you to be a princess?
Me: Because my grandmother was the queen…
Professor Dumbledore: No… because they need a princess to give to Lord Voldemort…
Me: Why?
Professor Dumbledore: He told them that he wanted to marry a princess of the fairies, or he’ll destroy their world… And of course, Jacqueline Silver wouldn’t give him her daughter Aislin… So, she decided that the princess would be you…
Me: That’s not possible… *I whispered*
Ron hasn’t said any word and I was so scared, so upset and so sad that I couldn’t speak anymore…
Professor Dumbledore: Well, now that I’ve warned you… I think you understand why we were so worried…
Me: Yes…
Professor Dumbledore: I think you should go now… You look very tired… Good evening!
Me: G-Go-Good evening, Professor.
We left Dumbledore’s office.
I was shaking and I led towards Gryffindor’s Common Room.
I entered it and I sat on a couch. Ron did the same.
Ron: Wow… that was strange… are you alright?
Me: Of course not! *I started crying*
Ron: Shhh… don’t cry… *He hugged me*
Me: But… but… they seemed so nice… I really liked my cousin. I was so happy to meet her… How could they do this to me? My parents never told me anything about this…. *we were still hugged and I was still crying*
Ron: Shhh… stop crying… They don’t worth your tears…
Me: You may be right… But I have to go to the forest again… I want to ask Aislin if this is true…
Ron: No way! I won’t let you go!
Me: But… but…
Ron: Well, I think you should go to sleep… we have classes tomorrow.
Me: I know… our first class is Potions…
Ron: Yes… Have you already done your homework?
Me: Yes, of course! How about you?
Ron: I haven’t…
Me: Can I help you?
Ron: If you want to…
Me: Alright!
So, we stayed in the Common Room. I helped Ron with his essay for Potions. It was really funny… He was always making mistakes…
Now, I was feeling better. I would never go to the forest again… And Ron was right… they didn’t worth my tears.
When Ron finished his homework, we started to play chess.
I don’t know who won, because I fell asleep.
When I woke up, I was on a couch near the fireplace. No one was in the Common Room except me. So, I got up and went upstairs, to my dormitory. I saw Hermione talking to Lavender. I told them “Hi!” and they said “Hi” too… but they didn’t look very happy…
I had a shower and put my dressrobes.
When I left the bathroom, they had gone. So, I decided to go to the Great Hall.
I went downstairs and I saw Ron in the Common Room.
Me: Good morning!
Ron: Good morning! How are you?
Me: I’m fine. And you?
Ron: I’m cool… well, let’s have a great breakfast.
Me: Alright!
So, we went to the Great Hall.
When we entered it, I saw Nymphadora having her breakfast. And then I saw that she was talking to Draco.
Me and Ron ran towards Gryffindor’s Table. We wanted to hear what they were talking about.
When we arrived, I could hear that Draco was telling Nymphadora a big lie…
Nymphadora: Who are you?
Draco: Oh, this is really true! You’ve lost your mind! And those *pointing at everyone at the Gryffindor table* didn’t tell you who I was, how rude of them… I’m Draco Malfoy and I’m your boyfriend.
I couldn’t let him do that…
Me: Stop it, Draco!!! Don’t believe him, Nymphadora! He isn’t your boyfriend!
Draco: Ah! Don’t listen to her, Nymphadora! She wanted to be my girlfriend too… but of course I prefer you…
Me: That’s a lie!!! I thought that you were a good person… now I see that Ron was right… you are evil, Malfoy…
Nymphadora: Go away, Miriam! You tried to steal my boyfriend from me!
Me: What?! I didn’t…
Draco: You heard my girlfriend, Evelyn! Go away!
I couldn’t take it anymore…
Everyone was looking at me… I ran towards the lake. I could hear Ron yelling at Draco and Nymphadora, but I didn’t hear what they said.
